Sterling supervisors impose 180-day moratorium on data center development

PA STERLING — Sterling supervisors vote unanimously to impose 180-day moratorium on data centers. The Sterling Township Board of Supervisors approved the halt on April 13 while Solicitor Jeff Treat and board members work on an ordinance amendment to address the issue. The board also conditionally approved a 3,300-square-foot modular office building at 50 Industrial Park Road for 50 Industrial Park Rd LLC, granted waivers for environmental impact analysis and stormwater management given the project's reduction in impervious surface, and designated Covington Ambulance as the township's preferred advanced life support provider.
